What is a School-Based Mental Health Program?
A school-based mental health program provides many of the same services that can be found in community agencies. The school-based mental health professionals work collaboratively with parents, school staff, and other professionals in order to surround each student with quality care.
Who provides the Mental Health services?
Licensed master level mental health practitioners provide mental health services to students and their families. These highly qualified counselors are experienced in providing mental health services in a school setting.
How much will the Mental Health service cost?
Mental health services are provided at no cost to parents. When applicable, Medicaid Insurance is billed. The District supports the mental health positions within the district.
