7th Grade Science Students Plant Trees
On Friday, October 28th, twenty-two students from Mrs. Amanda Johnson’s and Mr. Jim Moeller’s 4th hour science class, assisted by math teachers - Mrs. Sue Green and Mrs. Jen Reiter and parent volunteers - Deana Olson and Vic Loughlin planted six evergreen trees - 3 White Pine and 3 Norway Spruce. This planting completed the two rows of evergreen windbreak between the track/football field and the residential housing on 8th Street. A special thank you goes to Green Scene of Black Hawk County who purchased these trees, along with Kim Jordan from Jordan’s Nursery, Mark and Duke from Asplundh (CFU) and Tiny Kofron – Head Groundskeeper for the Cedar Falls Schools who made this very worthwhile project possible
