Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) - During the week of April 6th, all Cedar Falls 3rd-6th grade students will take the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) tests. These will be taken digitally using our Chromebooks. Students and families can take advantage of online practice tests to help students prepare. We will also be using these practice tests during school. Please help our students to be ready by ensuring they are rested, fed and come to school with a positive mental attitude. We ask that families ensure students are at school and appointments are avoided during this week. Last, we will ask students to leave home electronic devices or be prepared to turn in to staff during testing. If you have questions, please let us know!

Did you miss Kettle Corn at Winterfest? Good news, we will sell bags of Kettle Corn for $7 each on Friday, April 10th! We will begin sales at 3:00 PM and end at 4:30 PM. Students are welcome to purchase before leaving for the day or following dismissal. We will accept cash or checks made out to Lincoln PALS (Parents and Lincoln School).

Our district is hosting a virtual keynote with Lynn Lyons on Thursday, April 16th! (https://tinyurl.com/3x9z79h9)  Lynn Lyon will join us virtually and you can watch in the Cedar Falls High School Auditorium. There will be breakout sessions with local experts following the keynote.

Second Step - During the third quarter of the school year Team Lincoln will learn about empathy and kindness. When students have empathy and show kindness, they are able to understand and care about how others are feeling. Children learn to listen, include others, and respond with compassion through their words and actions. These skills help create a safe and supportive classroom, strengthen friendships, and teach students how to be respectful and caring members of their school community.
