Another reminder that the deadline for students to become eligible to participate in prom & commencement is Thursday, May 15th, at 12:30 PM. All detentions must be served, guest forms submitted, and all outstanding fines and fees must be cleared AND prom tickets must be purchased by this date and time. Students who have not met these requirements will not be permitted to attend prom or commencement. It is your responsibility to make a plan with your Associate Principal and follow through with the plan if you desire to participate in these events. Prom guest forms can be picked up in the Attendance / Activities office from Mrs. Skarlis.
A representative from Kirkwood Community College will be here on Tuesday, April 1st. If you would like to learn more about Kirkwood, please sign up on Schoology.
Remember to attend the Iowa Regional and cheer on Robotics team 525 Swarthogs at the McLeod Center on Saturday anytime from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm!
Follow the Tigers on SATURDAY: Varsity girls' Track and Field Sherwood Relays will begin at 11:00 am at Iowa City High School.
REMINDERS: Student Senate is hosting a school wide 3 on 3 basketball tournament, including teachers and students. Registration is on Schoology and rules are linked there too! This will be known as "Do Better, Be Better, Play Better", and all money raised will go to the "Do Better, Be Better" organization!
The registration for Hawkeye Community College's summer college credit program will open on April 1st. Please see the information on Schoology to sign up and register. These courses are not affiliated with the high school in the fact that we cannot see who is signed up, who your teacher is etc. Grades are however sent to your high school when the class is completed and will go onto your high school transcript. Please see your counselor if you have any further questions.
