Holmes students will be taking the ISASP (Iowa State Assessment of Student Progress)  starting March 30. Students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade will take the reading, language and writing, and math assessments. Spring Break is March 16-20, 2026. When school resumes on Monday March 23 it will be a "B" day. School will start at 9:30 a.m. and follow the normal Monday/Late Start schedule. 

Cedar Falls had a fantastic day at the MathCounts competition and NINE students from Holmes, Peet, and Hansen qualified for state. Holmes/Hansen placed four students (Pradeep, Wanner, Sebree, & Schmidt) in the top ten, and five (Pradeep, Wanner, Sebree, Schmidt, and Juza) are headed to the state competition.
