Art Club & Open Studio

Art Club and Open Studio are open to anyone interested in making Art. No experience is necessary as students are encouraged to explore new media and techniques.

The Art Club meets on Tuesdays during Power Hour. Past activities have included – making props and backdrops for plays and dances, community art projects and fundraising through art making for the Art a la Carte and selling the art at school events. Holiday parties are also popular with the Art Club.

Open Studio is available to all students whether currently enrolled in an Art class or not. Students may come to Open Studio during Power Hour to explore new media, make Art for fun, or work on class projects. Students interested in entering Art competitions or prepare portfolios for scholarship competitions can also use this time for one-on-one help from the Art teachers to prepare submissions.
