2024 Student Food Drive

To help those in the Cedar Valley, the Student Food Drive is an effort conducted by area high schools to collect and donate food to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank.  The purpose of the drive is multifaceted.  In addition to collecting food and funds for those in need, the Drive:Image title

  • Gives students a chance to help their school and other groups in the community

  • Promotes volunteerism and community involvement

  • Gives students the opportunity to develop organizational skills – a “real life” example of how to get things done through teamwork

Cedar Falls High School will be competing against area Cedar Valley schools to see who can collect the most.  There will be events throughout the month of October to collect food and raise money.  These events will happen both inside and outside of our school.  Please check back often to see what we're up to.  Our goal is to provide 65,000 meals this year!

Upcoming Food Drive Events

VOLUNTEER HOURS 

Get your Tiger Time, team or club to volunteer together.  For every 2 hours of volunteering, the school will receive $100 toward our goal.  You can sign your group up here.  

BAKE SALE - Oct. 15th, 17th, 22nd, 31st

TRUNK OR TREAT - Sunday, Oct. 20th, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Get your groups of friends, sports groups, leadership groups, music, drama, etc and come together to create a trunk. This event has the potential to gain donations from community members while our high school students interact with younger students.  Families will be proveded with a piece of paper and a writing utensil at the beginning of the line of trunKs so they, along with their children, may vote for their favorite trunk.  The trunk with the most votes will be announced and the winner will be awarded a prize.

POWDER PUFF VOLLEYBALL - Monday, Oct. 28th, 7:00 p.m.

There is a LONG RUNNING  record of Staff dominating this tournament!  We will play for a little over an hour with Seniors vs. Juniors vs. Sophomores vs. Staff -- Admission is $5.00 for everyone.
